With great compassion and gentle support, I facilitate your change process through releasing the emotional issues that prevent you from living the life you want to live. In my 20 years of experience, I have helped individuals with a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, fear, anger, stress, loss, grief, abuse, trauma, self-image, and many other issues. Using a wealth of tools and training, my goal is to help you feel in control of your life. I believe in your innate strength and goodness, and help you find your way back to seeing yourself that way again.
Perhaps you don't identify with a specific mental health issue. Maybe life is mostly smooth, but you feel something is missing, something you can't name, and you don't feel you have a right to complain. A dullness or routine pervades every day, and you think to yourself, "There must be more." You don't want to--or can't--talk to friends or family about it. I can help you pinpoint your dissatisfaction and find joy and meaning in life again.
It can be difficult to share things you don't let anyone else know about you. Many of my first-time clients feel they're weak for coming to therapy. I believe it is the most courageous act of all to face your vulnerabilities and make changes. I consider it an honor to walk with you to the other side of your problems. You have the right to live your life to the fullest. Contrary to what we may have been taught, that is not selfish! When we heal, that energy ripples out from us, and positively impacts everyone we meet.
I describe my psychotherapeutic approach as collaborative and person-centered in the broadest sense. You are unique and so I bring to bear many therapies: cognitive-behavioral, internal family systems, hypnotherapy, and energy modalities, among others. My personal study of mindfulness, energy medicine, body work, yoga, and spirituality inform my approach and often help people past their struggles when other modalities have not worked.
My priority is to help you reach your goals. Contact me with your specific questions about my approach.
